From March 1, 2020, electrical and electronic products sold within the EAEU Eurasian Economic Union must pass the RoHS conformity assessment procedure to prove that they are in compliance with EAEU Technical Regulation 037/2016 on the restriction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products. TR EAEU 037 establishes a requirement to restrict the use of hazardous substances in products circulating within the Eurasian Economic Union (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan) (hereinafter referred to as “products”) to ensure free circulation of products in the region .

If these products also need to comply with other technical regulations of the Customs Union, these products must meet all technical regulations of the Customs Union in order to enter the Eurasian Economic Union. It means that after 4 months, all products regulated by RoHS regulations need to obtain RoHS compliance certification documents before entering the markets of EAEU countries.
